Do I have to pay an entrance or buy-in fee when I move in? Top
No, there is no entrance or buy-in fee. Casey’s Pond Independent Living and Assisted Living residents will pay a monthly service fee for their villa apartment, included services, and use of all community amenities. Doak Walker House skilled nursing patients will pay a daily rate.
Is this a condominium community? Will I own my residence? Top
Casey’s Pond is not a condominium community. Community residents will become “members” and have certain membership privileges.
Can I bring my own furnishings? Top
Independent and Assisted Living residents of Casey’s Pond can bring their own furnishings. Our move-in coordinators will assist residents and their families in selecting and creating comfortable interior designs.
Can I bring my pet? Top
Yes. Casey’s Pond reserves the right to evaluate each pet to insure safety for all residents. There will be a pet deposit of $500 due prior to moving in.
Can I smoke in the community and in my personal residence? Top
No. Casey’s Pond is a non-smoking community.
How much does it cost to live at Casey's Pond? Top
Final pricing has not been established. Pricing will be commensurate to similar communities in the metropolitan Denver and Front Range areas and adjusted for Steamboat Springs cost of living.
Does Medicare and Medicaid pay for living at Casey's Pond? Top
Federal (Medicare) and part Federal/part State (Medicaid) government subsidy programs are available under qualified circumstances for patients in the Doak Walker House skilled nursing center. Also, many long-term care health insurance policies pay for assisted living.
How do I know what living environment is best suited for me (and/or my spouse)? Top
Casey’s Pond Social Services will participate jointly with each prospective resident (and family members in certain circumstances) to evaluate and consider an optimal living environment.
What happens if I need more care over time? Top
Casey’s Pond is a “continuum of senior living and care community” and offers a variety of specialized living environments with care support as residents require additional services. Additional care can be arranged to be delivered to residents, and, upon availability, residents can re-locate to our specialized living environments.
Do I have access to other levels of care when I need them? Top
Current residents at Casey’s Pond will have priority access to all living environments that offer additional care.
Who will be managing Casey's Pond? Top
Casey’s Pond will be managed by Pearl Senior Living Management, LLC - www.pearlseniorliving.com.
What is the management philosophy? Top
Our philosophy is simple. We want to create a place that you will be proud to call your new home by maximizing independence and offering a community that improves your quality of life.
I will need medical physicians when I move into Casey's Pond - can you assist me in finding them? Top
Casey’s Pond will work with prospective out-of-area residents and family members to establish new physician relationships. Our community is conveniently located within one mile to the Yampa Valley Medical Center.
Are you affiliated with Yampa Valley Medical Center? Top
Casey’s Pond is a private, tax-exempt, not-for-profit organization that is governed by a distinct Board of Directors. Casey’s Pond will have a strategic working relationship with Yampa Valley Medical Center.
Can I sign up on a wait list? Top
Please sign up for our electronic newsletter that will provide you with periodic updates on the progress of our anticipated construction activity. We do not, as yet, have a wait list, and we will inform you when that process begins.
Will you be taking reservation deposits? Top
When we initiate the wait list program there will be a fully refundable reservation deposit due upon signing up.
When will the community officially open? Top
We anticipate groundbreaking in the very near future and will inform you of specific dates through our eNewsletter communication.
What happens in the event I require one level of care, and my spouse requires a different level of care? Top
